The media world received answers to two of its most pressing questions Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America" show: Who will Kate Gosselin's partner be on "Dancing with the Stars," and how would George Stephanopoulos handle having to do the promotional, soft, celebrity, pop interviews if he took over as host of the morning show.
The answer to the former is Tony Dovolani, and the answer to the latter is that the former senior White House aide did OK. He was engaged, focused and even brought a bit of enthusiasm to the task that included as much ABC promotion as it did journalism. He did not seem one bit condescending or superior, and good for him in that regard. If you are going to take a job, do it with enthusiasm -- all of it. (And really I am kidding about this being a pressing question, but it was asked a lot when he was mulling the offer to leave Washington and replace Diane Sawyer.)
As for Kate and Tony, aiyiyi, this is going to be something. He already has his rap down pretty well, praising Kate Gosselin for being a role model by being on the show.
