Eighty-eight area football players have been nominated for the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame's Scholar Athlete Awards, which will be presented at its 47th annual dinner Wednesday night at Martin's West.
Student-athletes from Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford and Howard counties will be honored. The five winners will share in $20,000 worth of scholarship money.
