The Orlando Sentinel has an extensive story about the Santonio Holmes incident in an Orlando nightclub.
Holmes may have been worried about the NFL coming down on him when he allegedly said that he's "an NFL player and could not face criminal charges." The story says he offered the student money to make the incident go away.
But it also says in the Orlando police report that Holmes and the student gave conflicting stories.
Holmes told ESPN on Monday that the incident "will be taken care of quickly, within the next 24 hours."
