A day after visiting the Ravens, free agent defensive back Marlin Jackson agreed to a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to the Associated Press.

Jackson, 26, is coming off a pair of season-ending knee injuries. He missed the second half of 2008 with a torn ACL in his right knee and returned in 2009 before tearing the ACL in his left knee in a November practice.

A 2005 first-round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts, Jackson has 306 tackles and four interceptions in 56 career games. He can play cornerback and safety.

The Eagles moved quickly once Jackson visited. Apparently, the Ravens wanted to see how Jackson recovered from the knee surgeries before making a serious offer.

"We were just feeling each other out and getting a sense of what I'm looking for and what they're looking for," Jackson told the Ravens' Web site. "They wanted to wait a little bit and see me move with the fact that I'm coming off an ACL. I need to move a little bit more before going further."
