Singer Carrie Underwood is getting married this summer -- and she's got a furry member of the wedding party.

Her Chihuaua, Ace, is apparently going to walk be the ringbearer. (I hope Ace handles the jewlery better than our friend down in Rockville...)

See mom, if you're reading, it's not only possible to have a dog in a wedding -- it's trendy! If it's good enough for a Grammy-award winning star, couldn't it work for my sister's upcoming nuptials in Pittsburgh? Though Teddy Bean probably couldn't be trusted to walk a straight line down the aisle with a ring, I think he'd make a smashing greeter. Maybe even a "Best Pup in Charge of Finding Hors d'œuvres That Drop on the Floor."

Unlike Ace, Bean is banned from the ceremony. (He's actually banned from being anywhere near the Three Rivers come wedding weekend. Sniff.)

Has anyone had their dog (or other pet) play a role in the wedding? What did they do and how did it go? Would you do it again? (Or, if you've just attended weddings with animals, definitely dish about that, too...)
