In this picture just released by the Spanish animal protection group El Refugio (which means The Shelter), a gray and white dog named Dulcinea, a one year old mongrel, watches over the corpse of another dog that was run over on a highway near Madrid. Dulcinea watched over the corpse of her partner for more than 15 days, according to neighbors of the area, risking her life, dodging between trucks and cars, to protect it, until she was picked up by the animal protection group.
