Last week, Jamison Hensley reported that the Ravens could be in the market for two cornerbacks because of the injury situations of Lardarius Webb and Fabian Washington.

Hensley wrote that a lot of cornerback options remain because just two of the top 15 unrestricted free-agent cornerbacks have been signed. Some of the free-agent cornerbacks who remain unsigned are: Lito Sheppard, Nick Harper, Philip Buchanan, Dre Bly, Nathan Vasher, Fred Smoot and Ken Lucas.

It appears you can cross Vasher, who made the 2005 Pro Bowl with the Chicago Bears, off the list. The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that the Chargers are close to signing Vasher to add depth after the Chargers traded Antonio Cromartie to the New York Jets this offseason.

Vasher, 28, has played in just 11 games the last three seasons because of injuries. He was let go by the Bears this month.

Sheppard played for Harbaugh in Philadephia when Harbaugh was defensive backs coach for the Eagles.
