Curious pup survives 300-foot drop off cliff

When you hear about a dog taking a 300-foot leap off of cliff, you most likely assume the story doesn't end well.

But this one does.

A Springer Spaniel chasing a sea gull in the U.K. chased the bird right over a cliff in East Sussex, this report in the Daily Mail details. Miraculous, the dog named Poppy survived, landing with a belly flop in the water below. Because she was running when she fell, Poppy landed in deep water that cushioned her fall, rather than the beach directly at the foot of the cliff.

She then doggy-paddled back to shore.
