Man, I hate all these rumors and no actual statements. There was originally a rumor that Big Mike Lynche was cut from the American Idol Top 24 after his dad violated the confidentiality agreement and told the local paper he'd made the finals long before it aired this week.
That appears to be false.
Now, though, it seems that Chris Golightly, the singer we met who had a long history in foster care and was looking for something positive to happen in his life, originally made the Top 24 and then was trimmed over some sort of contract issue. It's still unclear whether it was the contract's existence (apparently he had been in a boy band) or an issue of disclosure of the contract that caused the problem.
