Zorn, Saunders likely candidates for QB coach

The Ravens are looking at Jim Zorn and Al Saunders as possible candidates for their quarterbacks coach opening, a league source said. Hue Jackson, the team's quarterbacks coach the past two season, agreed to become the Oakland Raiders' offensive coordinator Tuesday.

Zorn, who was an NFL quarterback for 11 seasons, was a longtime quarterbacks coach before an unsuccessful two-year run as the Washington Redskins head coach. As a quarterbacks coach, he helped tutor young quarterbacks like Detroit's Charlie Batch (in 1998-2000) and Seattle's Matt Hasselbeck (2001-07).

Saunders, 62, who was the Ravens' offensive consultant this season, has coached in the NFL for 27 seasons as either an assistant head coach, an offensive coordinator or wide receivers coach. He has been the play-caller for some of the best offenses over the past decade, but he has never been a quarterbacks coach.
