Ditka rips Ravens' game plan

Mike Ditka, who won a Super Bowl with the Chicago Bears using a formula of running the ball and defense, this morning ripped the Ravens' game plan going into the 20-3 loss to the Colts.

Appearing as a guest on "Mike & Mike in the Morning" on ESPN, Ditka called it "the worst game plan I ever saw" going into a game. He said that "although he understands using running the ball and defense" to win games, the game plan did not give quarterback Joe Flacco a chance to throw the ball.

Ditka acknowledged that the Ravens' wide receivers aren't very good and the tight end (Todd Heap) has been beat up, but Flacco wasn't given a chance to throw downfield and "you're not going to win in this league by scoring just a field goal."

While not even mentioning what the Colts did defensively, Ditka reserved his comments about the Ravens' lack of offense to the coaches for limiting Flacco.
