Last week, when I wrote about artisanal Q Tonic (made with hand-picked quinine from the Peruvian Andes and the hopes and dreams of small children), the company's founder, Jordan Silbert, offered to send me some.
I've never met Silbert in person, but I imagine him as a mustachioed fellow with a top hat and cane, standing on a stage with a case of Q Tonic.
"It makes you younger, stronger and faster! No ailment stands a chance if you ingest Q Tonic. Guaranteed to cure consumption, gout, typhoid, scarlet fever, water on the knee (operation!), writer's cramp and plague."

With that kind of pitch, who could refuse the call of Q Tonic? ...
Hee hee.

Q Tonic comes in cute little glass bottles -- much snazzier than the big plastic jugs of Schweppes tonic I'm used to.
