The Ravens secondary hasn't improved enough to the point where it might lead the Ravens to the Super Bowl, but it has gotten better in recent weeks. One reason for the improvement has been the play of rookie cornerback Lardarius Webb.

With Webb on the field with his game-changing abilities, offensive coordinators now have to game plan for him. With Webb, opposing teams are also restricted to throwing in some areas unlike the previous two years.

Nickel and dime cornerback Chris Carr is also playing better and seems more at ease in the backfield.

Tom Zbikowski playing free safety in place of Ed Reed may have also helped. Even though Reed has great coverage skills, he freelances a lot and it leaves the Ravens vulnerable to the pick pass. With Zbikowski in the game, the Ravens know at least they are going to be.
