Replacing injured rookie Lardarius Webb (torn anterior cruciate ligament in right knee), Chris Carr performed solidly in his first start with the Ravens in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The cornerback led the defense in tackles with nine, teamed with defensive end Trevor Pryce to sack Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and stripped running back Rashard Mendenhall of the football in the second quarter. The only blemish was a pass interference call that contributed to Mendenhall's 4-yard touchdown run.

"I thought I played fairly well [Sunday]," Carr said. "Competitive nature, you want to make every play, and there were one or two plays I wish I would've played a little differently. But overall, I think I played fairly well, and I have a lot of confidence going into next week's game."
