All five affiliates in the Orioles' minor league system lost tonight.

The Triple-A Norfolk Tides were edged by the Gwinnett Braves, and the Double-A Bowie Baysox lost to the Harrisburg Senators.


The Single-A Frederick Keys fell to the Wilmington Blue Rocks, and the Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds were beaten by the Lakewood BlueClaws.

The short-season Single-A Aberdeen IronBirds lost in extra innings to the Tri-City ValleyCats.

Norfolk Tides (AAA)

Score: Gwinnett Braves 4, Norfolk Tides 3 (Box score)

Recap: Designated hitter Brandon Snyder collected a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run scored in the Tides' 4-3 loss to Gwinnett at Harbor Park.

Norfolk center fielder Jonathan Tucker was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base, and right fielder Ambiorix Concepcion added two singles and an RBI.

Tides starting pitcher Jake Arrieta (5-8) gave up three runs (one earned) and four hits in 4 1/3 innings. The 23-year-old right-hander walked six batters and collected two strikeouts.

Left fielder Dave Krynzel contributed a triple and a run scored for Norfolk.Bowie Baysox (AA)

Score: Harrisburg Senators 7, Bowie Baysox 3 (Box score)

Recap: Left fielder Lou Montanez was 1-for-5 with an RBI in his return to the Baysox during an injury rehabilitation assignment, but they suffered a 7-3 loss to Harrisburg at Prince George's Stadium.

Bowie first baseman Steve Torrealba contributed a double, a sacrifice fly and two walks, and third baseman Brandon Waring added a double and a run scored.

Baysox starting pitcher Pedro Beato (1-3) allowed three runs and seven hits in seven innings. The 22-year-old right-hander struck out two batters and threw a wild pitch.

Frederick Keys (A)

Recap: Right fielder Billy Rowell was 1-for-3 with an RBI in the Keys' 5-2 loss to Wilmington.

Keys starting pitcher Kenny Moreland (4-2) allowed five runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings, and relief pitcher Pat Egan didn't give up any hits in 2 1/3 innings.

Delmarva Shorebirds (A)

Shorebirds starting pitcher Oliver Drake (8-9) gave up seven runs (five earned) and 11 hits in 6 2/3 innings. The 22-year-old right-hander struck out five batters.

Aberdeen IronBirds (A)

Recap: The IronBirds committed four errors in a 5-4 loss to Tri-City at Ripken Stadium in the opener of the team's final series in 2009.

Aberdeen designated hitter Justin Dalles was 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored, and first baseman Tyler Townsend added a double and an RBI.

IronBirds shortstop Garabez Rosa contributed a triple and a run scored, and catcher Brian Ward was 2-for-3 with a double.

Starting pitcher Colin Allen allowed four runs (two earned) and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings for the IronBirds. The 22-year-old right-hander collected seven strikeouts and walked one batter.

Aberdeen relief pitcher Jose Barajas (3-3) suffered the loss after giving up one unearned run and one hit in one inning.
