The Triple-A Norfolk Tides return home to host the Gwinnett Braves at Harbor Park, and the Double-A Bowie Baysox hit the road to take on the Akron Aeros.
The Single-A Frederick Keys play a doubleheader against the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Harry Grove Stadium, and the Rookie-level Bluefield Orioles take on the Bristol Sox at Bowen Field.
The Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds are idle, and the short-season Single-A Aberdeen IronBirds are in the middle of the All-Star break. The New York-Penn League All-Star Game will be played tonight at Penn State.
Earlier today, relief pitcher Eddie Gamboa was promoted from Frederick to the Baysox.
The 24-year-old right-hander was 4-0 with a 0.55 ERA and one save in 14 games for the Keys. Before joining the Keys, Gamboa was 6-0 with a 1.86 ERA and one save in 16 games for Delmarva.
When you do the math, you'll see that Gamboa is 10-0 with a 1.26 ERA in 32 games this season.
In order to make room for Gamboa in Bowie, relief pitcher Zach Clark was transferred to the Keys.
