The Ravens need another wide receiver

The Ravens need to find another wide receiver. It doesn't have to be a big-time vertical threat like the Denver Broncos' Brandon Marshall, but it must be a dependable veteran who knows the league and NFL defenses. Former Colts receiver Marvin Harrison comes to mind, but he might be too costly for the Ravens. After watching the game Monday night, the Ravens are going to need another solid, dependable veteran.

Derrick Mason will play well this season, but I don't think he'll be healthy for 16 games. Mark Clayton has a hamstring tear, so he probably won't be 100 percent for the entire season. Who knows about Demetrius Williams and Kelley Washington? Washington might be the player who steps up this season, but you'd like to go into the regular season with proven performers instead of players with potential.

The Ravens still might be able to land a veteran receiver who gets cut within the next week or two, and if they do, it would be a big step for this team. Again, they don't need a star to rock the boat, but a solid, proven veteran receiver who fits in.
