The Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds are hoping to reach out to fans by holding a question-and-answer session online with second baseman L.J. Hoes and left fielder Kyle Hudson, the team announced in a statement.
The two players each will answer 10 questions on the Shorebirds' Web site and the Delmarva Shorebirds Blog on MLB.com.To submit a question, send an email to Shorebirds radio broadcaster Bret Lasky by clicking here. When submitting a question, the Shorebirds request that you include your name and hometown.
The deadline is Wednesday, July 22 at noon, and the players' answers will be available on Thursday, July 23 in both written form and as an audio attachment, according to the team.
The Orioles selected Hoes in the third round of the 2008 MLB draft out of St. John's (D.C) High, and Hudson was the team's fourth-round choice during the same year from the University of Illinois.
Hoes is hitting .245 with 11 doubles and 29 RBIs for the Shorebirds this season, and Hudson ranks second on the team with a .293 batting average.
