The Salvation Army and the Double-A Bowie Baysox will hold Christmas in July this Saturday at Prince George's Stadium when the Orioles' affiliate hosts the Reading Phillies at 7:05 p.m.
Baysox players will be wearing special jerseys for the event, and they will be auctioned following the game to benefit The Salvation Army. Fans also can donate toys and money to the organization when entering the stadium.
The Baysox will hand out candy canes to fans as they come into the ballpark, and the Brass of the Potomac will be performing Christmas music. The band will also play the national anthem before the start of the game.
Finally, there will be a fireworks display at the conclusion of the contest.
