ESPN broadcaster Scott Van Pelt, a Maryland native, will be honored at Sunday's game between the Double-A Bowie Baysox and Reading Phillies at Prince George's Stadium.

The Baysox will hand out a Van Pelt bobblehead to the first 1,000 fans through the gates who are at least 6 years old. Van Pelt will also throw out the first pitch and sign autographs during the game, which is scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m.

"This represents the high water mark of life. Not of my career ... of my life," Van Pelt said about the bobblehead in a statement from the Baysox. "This is great, hysterical in all honesty. I can't wait to come down to Bowie and see it."

How long does everyone think I'll need to wait before there is an O's on Deck bobblehead that looks like me?

OK, so I won't get my hopes up.
