Prior to yesterday's game, the Baysox placed relief pitcher Wilfrido Perez on the disabled list, retroactive to June 5. The 24-year-old left-hander is eligible to be activated on June 12.

* Livingston tossed seven scoreless innings against the Buffalo Bisons in his last start on June 3. The 26-year-old left-hander allowed five hits and struck out four batters in the Tides' 5-3 win. While splitting time between Bowie and Norfolk this season, Livingston is 5-1 with a 3.57 ERA in 11 games (10 starts).
* After losing three straight games, the Tides (35-20) are tied for first place in the International League South Division with the Durham Bulls (36-21). Toledo (24-33) is in last place in the West Division, trailing the first-place Columbus Clippers (29-28) by five games.Delmarva Shorebirds (A)

* In his last start, Zagone allowed nine runs and six hits in two innings against the Kannapolis Intimidators on June 1. The 22-year-old left-hander's ERA jumped from 1.92 to 3.35 following the start. Zagone leads the Shorebirds with 54 strikeouts in 53 2/3 innings this season.
* With 18 games remaining in the first half of the season, the Shorebirds (28-23) are 2 1/2 games behind the first-place Lakewood BlueClaws (32-22) in the South Atlantic League Northern Division. The Captains (25-28) are in sixth place in the division, and they trail the BlueClaws by 6 1/2 games.
