Orioles: Moeller clears, headed for Norfolk

Reserve catcher Chad Moeller cleared waivers today and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk, which means that he'll be available in case of an injury to either Gregg Zaun or Matt Wieters. Moeller had enough service time to decline the assignment and become a free agent, but told the Orioles when he was DFA's last Friday that he would report if the club could pass him through waivers.

He's expected to join the Norfolk Tides on Friday.
