The Triple-A Norfolk Tides picked up their eighth straight victory, but the other three full-season affiliates in the Orioles' minor league system lost tonight.
The Double-A Bowie Baysox lost in extra innings on the road against the Reading Phillies. The Single-A Frederick Keys surrendered nine unearned runs in a 14-8 loss to the Potomac Nationals, while the Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds gave up four runs in the bottom of the eighth to lose to the Lake County Captains.

Tides second baseman Justin Turner was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and he scored the go-ahead run on Justin Christian's RBI single in the sixth inning. Christian and Norfolk left fielder Nolan Reimold added two hits each.
Norfolk starting pitcher David Hernandez (1-0) earned the victory after allowing three runs and five hits in six innings. The 23-year-old right-hander struck out eight hitters and issued one walk in the victory. Bowie starting pitcher Troy Patton gave up two runs (one earned) and two hits in 5 1/3 innings. The 23-year-old left-hander walked three hitters and collected one strikeout in the loss. Baysox relief pitcher Josh Perrault allowed three runs and two hits in 1 1/3 innings, which was the first time he was scored on this season.
Left fielder Dave Krynzel hit a solo home run in the fourth, and center fielder Danny Figueroa added a three-run shot in the seventh for the Baysox. Figueroa was 3-for-4 in the game, while Krynzel scored two runs.
Baysox relief pitcher Fredy Deza (0-1) tossed two scoreless innings before allowing the game-winning home run to Taylor.

Keys second baseman Matthew Tucker was 2-for-5 with two RBIs, but he also committed two errors. First baseman Brandon Waring and third baseman Tyler Henson also made defensive miscues for Frederick. Catcher Caleb Joseph collected two hits in the game.
Frederick manager Richie Hebner was ejected in the ninth inning by the home plate umpire.
