Today's game recaps -- April 10

The highly anticipated matchup between Orioles top prospect Matt Wieters and Tampa Bay Rays top prospect David Price didn't happen tonight. The game between the Triple-A Norfolk Tides and Durham Bulls was postponed due to rain.

The Double-A Bowie Baysox and Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds both earned victories, but the Single-A Frederick Keys suffered a one-run loss.

Recap: In his first start as a member of the Orioles' minor league system, Baysox left-hander Troy Patton (1-0) pitched five scoreless innings against the Akron Aeros. The 23-year-old pitcher gave up three hits and walked three hitters in Bowie's 3-0 victory. Patton struck out three batters.

Baysox first baseman Brandon Snyder was 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Catcher Guillermo Rodriguez led the Baysox with two hits, and he also scored a run. Designated hitter Paco Figueroa added a double and a run scored for Bowie.

Wilfrido Perez pitched out of trouble in the ninth inning to earn his first save of the season. The 24-year-old left-hander walked a batter and gave up a single, but he got Aeros second baseman Niuman Romero to ground into a game-ending double play.Frederick Keys (A)

Recap: Shortstop Pedro Florimon Jr. hit a two-run home run in the third inning, but the Keys lost, 3-2, to Salem. Frederick first baseman Brandon Waring was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

Keys right fielder Billy Rowell threw out Red Sox designated hitter Jason Place at home plate in the fourth inning. Offensively, Rowell was 0-for-4 with a strikeout.

Frederick starting pitcher Pedro Beato (0-1) gave up three runs and six hits in five innings. The 22-year-old right-hander had two strikeouts and walked one hitter.

Delmarva Shorebirds (A)

Recap: Starting pitcher Cole McCurry tossed four scoreless innings in the Shorebirds' 3-1 victory over Lakewood. The 23-year-old left-hander gave up four hits, walked two hitters and collected four strikeouts. Delmarva right-hander Raul Rivero (1-0) earned the victory after allowing one run and three hits in two innings.

Shorebirds first baseman Joe Mahoney hit an RBI triple in the sixth inning. Shortstop Greg Miclat was 1-for-3 with an RBI single for Delmarva, and catcher Luis Bernardo had a double and a run scored.

Shorebirds right-hander Joe Esposito picked up his first save of the season after striking out two hitters in the ninth inning.
