It's not a good day if you want to catch some minor league baseball in person.

The Triple-A Norfolk Tides and Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds hit the road, while the Double-A Bowie Baysox and Single-A Frederick Keys are idle.

The Baysox will return to Prince George's Stadium to face the Akron Aeros Friday night, while the Keys travel to play a three-game series against the Potomac Nationals.

* Hernandez gave up three runs and five hits in six innings against the Durham Bulls on April 23. The 23-year-old right-hander struck out eight hitters and issued one walk in the Tides' 4-3 victory. Hernandez is tied for fifth in the International League with 23 strikeouts, but all of the pitchers listed above him have one more start. Gwinnett Braves starting pitcher Tommy Hanson is first with 29 strikeouts.

* Igawa is 2-0 this season despite allowing 14 runs (12 earned) and 16 hits in 16 innings during his first three starts. The 29-year-old left-hander was roughed up in his last start against the Rochester Red Wings on April 25, but the Yankees rallied for a 17-14 victory in 13 innings. Igawa gave up eight runs (six earned) and nine hits -- including four home runs -- in four innings during the game.

* The Tides are currently on a two-game losing streak, and they are in second place in the South Division. Norfolk is 11-7, which is 1/2 game behind the division-leading Durham Bulls (12-7). Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (16-3) holds a four-game lead over the Syracuse Chiefs (11-6) in the North Division. The Yankees are 11-1 on the road this season.Delmarva Shorebirds (A)

* O'Shea earned his first victory this season in his last start against the Lake County Captains on April 24. The 22-year-old right-hander allowed one run and four hits in five innings. He struck out seven hitters and issued two walks in the Shorebirds' 5-1 win. Overall, O'Shea gave up five runs and 15 hits in 16 innings during his first three starts in 2009.

* Dorn pitched five scoreless innings against the West Virginia Power on April 25, but he didn't factor in the decision. The 23-year-old right-hander collected three strikeouts and gave up six hits in Greensboro's 2-1 loss. After allowing five runs in his first start against the Greenville Drive on April 9, Dorn has only surrendered two runs in his past three games.

* Delmarva's Joe Mahoney hit successfully in his past seven games. During that span, the 22-year-old first baseman is batting .467 (14-for-30) with four RBIs and three stolen bases. Overall, Mahoney is tied for second in the South Atlantic League with a .397 batting average in 15 games. The 6-foot-7, 255-pound infielder also has seven stolen bases without being caught in 2009.

* After two straight victories, the Shorebirds are currently leading the Northern Division in the South Atlantic League with an 11-6 record. Delmarva is 1/2 game ahead of the Kannapolis Intimidators (12-8). The Lakewood BlueClaws are in third place (11-8), while Greensboro is fourth with an 11-9 record.
