Overall, Tillman has struck out nine hitters and issued six walks in eight innings during his first two starts in 2009.

* Houser will pitch for the first time this season after spending the past two years with Montgomery in the Tampa Bay Rays' minor league system. The 24-year-old left-hander was 3-3 with a 2.86 ERA in 20 starts for the Biscuits in 2008. Injuries have bothered Houser throughout his professional career, and he tested positive for a banned substance in 2007.

* Erbe allowed two unearned runs and one hit in six innings against the Akron Aeros in his last start on April 17, but he suffered the loss. The 21-year-old right-hander struck out eight hitters and didn't issue any walks in Bowie's 3-1 defeat. Despite only giving up one earned run in nine innings this season, Erbe lost both starts for the Baysox. In fact, opponents only have one hit against him so far in 2009.

* Stutes gave up three runs and seven hits in six innings during his last start against the Harrisburg Senators on April 18. The 22-year-old right-hander collected five strikeouts in Reading's 7-5 victory. Last season, Stutes was 7-2 with a 1.42 ERA while splitting time between two levels in the Philadelphia Phillies' minor league system. He struck out 84 hitters and walked 29 in 69 2/3 innings in 2008.

The 29-year-old left-hander was 1-0 with a 4.12 ERA in five starts for the Cubs last season, but he spent most of the year in the minor leagues. He was 4-7 with a 5.85 ERA in 13 starts while splitting time at three different levels of the Cubs' minor league system in 2008. Hill walked 44 hitters in 47 2/3 innings during his time in the minor leagues last season.

* Meyers earned the victory in his last start against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on April 18 after allowing two runs (one earned) and six hits in 5 2/3 innings. The 23-year-old right-hander struck out four hitters and didn't issue any walks in Potomac's 5-4 win. The Washington Nationals selected Meyers in the fifth round of the 2007 MLB draft out of Loyola Marymount. He was 9-7 with a 4.79 ERA in 22 games (21 starts) for the Single-A Hagerstown Suns in 2008.

* O'Shea was transferred to Delmarva from the short-season Single-A Aberdeen IronBirds' roster in order to make tonight's start, which will be his third for the Shorebirds in 2009. In his first two starts, the 22-year-old right-hander has allowed four runs and 11 hits in 11 innings. O'Shea gave up three runs and seven hits in six innings against Lake County on April 17.

* McFarland surrendered nine runs (eight earned) and nine hits in three innings during Lake County's 11-9 loss to the Lakewood BlueClaws on April 13. The 19-year-old left-hander fared much better in his last start, which was against Delmarva on April 18. McFarland allowed one run and three hits in 5 2/3 innings, but the Shorebirds won, 2-1.
