Secular artists record 'Oh Happy Day'

Queen Latifah singing gospel? Oh my!

The Queen is lending her voice to "Oh Happy Day: An All-Star Music Celebration,'' along with a host of artists not known for singing gospel music or espousing their faith.

The other artists include Jon Bon Jovi, Joss Stone and 3 Doors Down.

Wal-Mart is the exclusive outlet for the The EMI Gospel/Vector Recordings collection, which will be released tomorrow.

"It's something that we'd never really done before, and it seemed like it would be a lot of fun," 3 Doors Down lead vocalist Brad Arnold told Reuters. The band sings "Presence of the Lord" on the CD.

"It seemed like it would also be a challenge because we'd never really recorded that style of song," he said.
