Ruben Studdard and Jennifer Hudson return to 'Idol'

The Velvet Teddy Bear will return to the stage of American Idol on Thursday.

Since winning the popular Fox television show, Ruben Studdard has made a career singing both gospel and R&B. His acting gigs include the tour of Ain't Miss Behavin.

The New York Post reports that the 27-year-old, who was a season four loser to Fantasia Barrino, will perform after tomorrow night's show. Hudson is another one of those gospel-trained artists who dips into gospel while making a career in R&B.
