Highly regarded prospect Chris Tillman wasn't surprised to be going back to minor league camp. The club has been saying all winter that Tillman, Jake Arrieta and Brian Matusz all would spend this season in development.

"They just told me they are happy with where I'm at, obviously,'' Tillman said a few minutes ago. "They have a lot of pitching so they don't know where I'm going to be yet, whether it's Bowie or Norfolk. Either way, I'm where I'm supposed to be."

I asked him when he thought he would be back in the major leagues.

"I'm one of those guys I can't put a timeline on myself,'' he said, "I've got a few things to work on -- command of the fastball, changeup, holding runners -- they've put a lot of emphasis on that this year, so when the time is right, I guess."
