Orioles: Eventful first inning

New starter Adam Eaton is being hit very hard in his first exhibition appearance since signing with the Orioles. He gave up a solid single on his second pitch of the game and a ground ball single on his third pitch before Albert Pujols hit a scorching one hopper off the left field fence to give the Cardinals the lead.

Designated hitter David Freese followed with a sacrifice fly to left that allowed Nolan Reimold to show off his arm. The run scored, but he made a great throw to get Pujols trying to go to third on the play. The Cardinals ended up with two runs and four hits in inning. Not an auspicious start for the guy who the Orioles hope will be their No. 3 or 4 starter.
