Gospel industry mourns

Two noted members of the gospel community passed away earlier this week.

Thirty-seven-year old Ken Cook of EMI Gospel died Monday of colon cancer. During his career, Cook worked with Tye Tribbett, Kiera "KiKi' Sheard, Mary Mary, Men of Standard and many more.

Shirley Joiner, founder of the Southeast Inspirational Choir and member of the BCS Trio, also died Monday.

Joiner's choir helped launch the career of Yolanda Adams.
