Nominee Jennifer Hudson had stiff competition in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture category at the NAACP Image Awards tonight, including two co-stars who were also nominated for roles in The Secret Life of Bees.
Hudson nor her movie counterparts won.
Taraji P. Henson of The Curious Case of Benjam Button took the honor.
"I always wanted one of these. Now I have one,'' Henson told the audience. After thanking her director and co-stars, she said "This means the world to me. Thank You.''
Henson is also nominated for an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Button. That award show will air Feb. 22.
