Grammy Award-winning artist Smokie Norful will be performing at Inaugural Ball of Legends hosted by Yolanda Adams and Dionne Warwick Tuesday night in the nation's capital.
Norful will also be one of the many performers on BET's Celebration of Gospel, airing Jan. 25 at 8 p.m.
You'll likely be seeing, and more importantly, hearing more from the Chicago minister, who in April will release Smokie Norful Live, a project he recorded at the Cannon Center in Memphis in which he collaborates with Heather Headley and Tye Tribbett.
Headley, who released her CD Audience of One on Tuesday, and Norful unleash their talents in the remake of "Jesus Is Love,'' a song written and produced by Lionel Richie. The song appears on Headley and Norful's project.
The first single to be released from Norful's project will be "Justified.'' Tribbett is featured on "God's Gonna Do It." This EMI Gospel project was written and co-produced by Norful, who when he isn't singing is senior pastor of Victory Cathedral Worship Center.
