He helped Staples to 'Take You There'

The Chicago Sun Times has a story about Al Bell, who penned the hit "I'll Take You There.":

"'I'll Take You There' (1972) was the Staple Singers' only No. 1 hit at Stax Records and remains an emotive peak of Mavis Staples' solo set. It is the final encore on her recent 'Live: Hope at the Hideout.'
