We continued to struggle against the line last week going 1-3. The Ravens were our only winners with the Colts, Saints and Jets all losing outright. That leaves the season record at 11-12-1.

Buffalo at Miami (-1). Bills quarterback Trent Edwards has been a little under the radar in putting together one of the best seasons so far by a QB. Last week against San Diego, he was 25-of-30 for 261 yards and a touchdown. He's tied for No. 4 in the NFL in passer rating (98.8) and he has thrown just two interceptions. Meanwhile, the trick offense that carried Miami earlier in the season seems to be losing its novelty as the Ravens proved last week. Pick: Bills, getting 1.

NY Giants at Pittsburgh (-2). Unquestionably, this is the best game of the week with two teams that are 5-1. Both teams are playing great defense – the Steelers are No. 1 overall and the Giants are No. 4. The Giants are also developing into a smash-mouth team leading the league with nearly 170 yards a game on the ground. The game is in Pittsburgh but the Steelers have been roiling with controversies this week, including receiver Santonio Holmes being found with marijuana during a traffic stop. Pick: Giants, getting 2.

Arizona at Carolina (-4). While Carolina is 5-2 and Arizona is 4-2, both of these teams have been unpredictable. The Cardinals are coming off a bye week still savoring an overtime win over Dallas a couple of weeks ago and Carolina slammed New Orleans last Sunday. But the Cardinals have struggled on the road and the Panthers are undefeated at home. Pick: Panthers, giving 4.
