And this morning, NBC's Today Show talked with Dr. Phil McGraw, the television psychiatrist/psychologist, about domestic violence as it relates to the Hudson case.

The Hudson deaths, according to police authorities, are domestic related. Balfour is the estranged husband of Julia Hudson, Jennifer's sister.

Dr. Phil said that sometimes people who live in abusive situations don't realize they are in a violent situation.

His sentiments about the Hudson situation: "Your life is paralyzed whenever you lose somebody you love. Multiply that by three. ... Then you have the family member who brought this person into the family. ... It's just a mess. ... We need to keep them in our prayers. ...''
