You don't need to trust me on this anymore. Ravens coach John Harbaugh has announced that Joe Flacco will be the starting quarterback for Sunday's regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals...not that he had much choice in the matter.
Troy Smith showed up for camp today, but has lost so much weight from his nasty bout with tonsilitis, he'll need more time to build up his strength. The jury remains out on Kyle Boller. The team will make a decision Friday whether to place him on injured reserve.
The Ravens spent part of the day auditioning quarterbacks and ESPN is reporting that Falcons castoff Joey Harrington (at left, getting sacked Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium) has agreed to terms in the past hour. Chris Simms flew in from Tampa after being released by the Bucs and former Vikings backup Todd Bouman also was under consideration.
