Each year, Jerry Lewis hosts a telethon to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
His show, which includes testimonial stories and entertainment, began Sunday at 9 p.m. and will continue until Monday at 6:30 p.m. on WBN Fox 45. (The local channel has decided to begin airing the broadcast at 11 p.m., according to the MDA telethon Web site).
The 21 1/2 hour show will include a performance by gospel artist Regina Belle, who will sing Monday during the 3:30-4:30 p.m. hour of the telethon.
According to her publicists, Belle will sing "Victory" and "God Is Good,'' both releases from her latest CD, Love Forever Shines, which came out earlier this year.
Belle recently performed in Baltimore at The Stone Soul Picnic on Aug. 16.
