Probable pitchers

Norfolk: Ryan Bukvich (8-3. 4.26 ERA)

Durham: David Price (0-1, 4.85 ERA)

Notes

* Bukvich has allowed three hits in six shutout innings against the Bulls so far this season. He is 5-2 with a 3.28 ERA in 17 games at Harbor Park this year. Bukvich pitched a scoreless inning out of the bullpen against the Charlotte Knights on Aug. 23 in his last appearance. He had two strikeouts and walked one.

* Yesterday's win was the 11th walk-off victory for the Tides this season. Norfolk is 24-21 in games decided by one run.

* Price was the first overall pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2007 MLB draft. He was 11-0 with a 1.85 ERA in 15 starts split between Single-A Vero Beach and Double-A Montgomery before being promoted to Durham. In three starts for the Bulls, Price is 0-1 with a 4.85 ERA.

* The Tides have won six of their past seven games against Durham. Norfolk has scored 42 runs in those games. Each team has won 10 games in the season series and tonight's game is the final meeting between the two teams in 2008.

Opponent

Lake County Captains

Probable pitchers

Delmarva: Chris Salberg (1-4, 3.86 ERA)

Lake County: Joey Mahalic (7-5, 4.02 ERA)

Notes

* Delmarva and Lake County will complete a suspended game prior to tonight's regularly scheduled contest. The Shorebirds were leading 2-0 in the fourth inning on Aug. 9 at Lake County when rain forced play to be halted. The game will be completed from that point and a seven-inning game will follow. * McCurry was 6-0 with a 1.31 ERA in July, but he is 0-2 with a 4.71 ERA in four outings so far this month. He allowed four runs and five hits in five innings pitched against the Tri-City ValleyCats in his last start on Aug. 23.

* Caleb Joseph's grand slam in the third inning of last night's game was only the fourth in team history, but three of them have been hit in 2008. T.J. Baxter hit one in the first game of the season and Tyler Kolodny hit a walk-off grand slam on Aug. 10.

* The IronBirds collected their 14th come-from-behind victory in last night's game. Vermont scored in the third inning to take the 1-0 lead, which also snapped Aberdeen's 12-game streak of scoring first.
