Another one bites the dust

Tough week to be a manager.

I bet the guy who's running the Arby's down the street from my house must be nervous today.

So, does anyone out there have warm and fuzzy memories of Cito Gaston?

Gaston has replaced John Gibbons in Toronto. It's been a long time, but Gaston was Public Enemy No. 1 in Baltimore after he left Mike Mussina in the bullpen for the All-Star Game at Camden Yards. Mussina chose on his own to start warming up, which led fans to believe he was going to pitch. Then he didn't. And all you-know-what broke loose.

Gaston was furious at Mussina.

I seem to recall a few anti-Cito T-shirts floating around these parts. Do you still have yours?

The Jays also fired first base coach Ernie Whitt. Yeah, I'm sure he was the problem.
