So maybe the Orioles could fill this park

Okay, perhaps some people may seem to have a little too much time on their hands but what they do with that time and their hands can be mighty impressive.

This Lego model of Camden Yards was built by Lego artist/architect Jason Burik, who not only assembled a replica of the Orioles' home but also of Cal Sr.'s Yard, which is the youth ball park up that's part of Cal Jr.'s impressive complex in Aberdeen.

Burik, who lives in the Pittsburgh area, has Baltimore ties. A teacher, he taught in Anne Arundel County and he attended UMBC where he played a little basketball for the Retrievers. He has built other baseball parks and football stadiums (including M&T Bank Stadium) as well as historic buildings and has been commissioned for private projects.

But he's not the only Lego artist. The Web site homerderby.com has a gallery of Lego ballparks, including one that's a functional model of Miller Park in Milwaukee built by Tim Kaebisch, according to the site. Thanks to homerderby for pointing the way here and to Sun colleague Rick Maese for bringing it to our attention.
