Bookies think the Ravens will take Matt Ryan

I am a miserable sports gambler, having wagered too often on the wrong underdogs, so this information isn't of much use to me. But in case you're curious, the gambling Web site Bodoglife.com thinks that the Ravens are most likely to take Matt Ryan in the NFL Draft, assuming he's available. Here is the site's breakdown of the Ravens' most likely picks:

Matt Ryan: 7/4

Sedrick Ellis: 9/4

Ryan Clady: 3/1

Leodis McKelvin: 3/1

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie: 9/1

Field: 2/1

This, of course, means absolutely nothing unless you're one of those people who thinks that Vegas controls everything and that they always have the insider knowledge that no one else does. Either way, listening to Vegas seems like a safer bet, right now, than listening to SI's Peter King, who suggested yesterday that the Ravens might trade down in the first round (with Tampa at No. 20) so they could draft Chad Henne of Michigan. King either has a secret mole inside the Ravens organization, or someone like Michigan alum Tom Brady slipped some LSD into his hazelnut extra foam skim latte. Drafting Henne in the first round strikes me as total madness.
