Ever since Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams imploded in the 1993 World Series and gave up a season-ending home run to Joe Carter, he's been trying to rehabilitate his reputation, mostly effectively. He's become something of a sympathetic repentant in Philadelphia on sports talk radio and as an analyst for Phillies baseball broadcasts. He even has his own brand of salsa.

Well, Williams has torpedoed some of that image makeover recently with a little saucy language at his daughter's youth basketball game in New Jersey as Wild Thing dropped some f-bombs on a female referee. Exacerbating the situation is that this was a CYO game between St. Mary of the Lakes against Our Lady of Good Counsel.  Dropping very bad words in such company is a very bad idea.

Williams' beef seemed to be that his kid or his kid's team was being fouled and the fouls weren't being called. The guy who oversees the refs for the league said that even though the season is over, if Williams shows his face next year, the games will not be officiated.
