OK, so it was Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota who got all the veep buzz at this weekend's National Governor's Association meeting, but Gov. O'Malley made the trek to Washington over the weekend for some policy talk with his fellow chief executives -- and for a few press conferences. O'Malley got some time in the spotlight to talk about crime policy, the subprime mortgage crisis and infrastructure development. O'Malley's predecessor, Bob Ehrlich, rarely went in for these sorts of things, but the new gov. who held leadership positions in the National Conference of Mayors, has been a regular attendee at NGA events.
