Republican Rep. Wayne T. Gilchrest, running for his 10th term in Maryland's First District, was endorsed yesterday by presidential hopeful, Rep. Ron Paul.
Paul, a Texas congressman running as a Republican, praised Gilchrest's service and "respect for the Constitution" in a statement released yesterday.
Gilchrest, who faces two well-known opponents, state senators E.J. Pitkin and Andy Harris, has also picked up endorsements from President George W. Bush and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
