In scouring the other ACC games to watch this weekend while the Terps are off, all I came up with was ugh.

The South Carolina game at UNC (3:30 p.m. on ABC) might be interesting, and it's always fun to watch Steve Spurrier's brain in action, especially as he coaches this scrappy group that is ranked No. 7 in the country. It should be a well-coached game, as the Butch Davis-led Tar Heels are coming off an upset win against Miami.

Speaking of Miami, the Hurricanes are hosting Georgia Tech at noon on ESPN. Two rather unimpressive Coastal Division teams.

Then there's the UConn vs. Al Groh matchup, and the Huskies are 5-0 for the first time since 1995. Still not convinced about this Virginia team, which hosts Connecticut at 3:30 p.m. on ESPNU.

Boston College at Notre Dame could be fun to watch, just because it's always entertaining to see a storied program crumble every once in awhile. Livens things up a little. The Irish snapped the second longest losing streak in school history with their 20-6 road win over UCLA last weekend. Never mind that the Bruins were down to their third quarterback -- a walk-on.

Virginia Tech at Duke? Tech has won four straight. Duke has lost three straight. I'll pass on this one, but will definitely check out FSU at Wake Forest on Thursday night. Considering they're both in the Atlantic Division with the Terps, it should be interesting, because they both have one loss.

It's teleconference time. Check back later.
