I correctly stated yesterday that the Colts would score 41 points. Too bad the Saints fell 28 short of the rest of my prediction.

It's gotten so bad, even Red Sox fans have stopped coming to Camden Yards. Last night's attendance was announced at 27,472.

Kevin Youkilis played his 178th consecutive errorless game at first base, tying him with Mike Hegan for the American League record. His last error came on July 4, 2006.

Didn't he used to be a third baseman?

Though he served up David Ortiz's home run, Rocky Cherry looked pretty good last night. So did Jim Hoey, who threw seven of his nine pitches for strikes and had an easy inning.

Chad Bradford puts way too many runners on base. I know he doesn't give up home runs, but he must lead the universe in singles.

OK, Danys Baez, the season has started. Stop fooling around. Joke's over.

I won't be at the game tonight. My daughter's in town and we're doing the whole mall thing -- Arundel Mills, I'm told -- after she accompanies me to a taping of the Insiders Roundtable Show that airs Sundays on WHFS 105.7 and Mondays on ESPN Radio 1300. She can watch the magic happen.

Remember when the Orioles made the magic happen?

Now they've just succeeded in making my enthusiasm disappear.

I'll be back out  there tomorrow. And Sunday. And for every other home game.

Manager Dave Trembley says his team hasn't quit. Well, neither has this guy.
