After Steve McNair sat out Wednesday's practice and was said to have done "light throwing" on Thursday, the Ravens' quarterback was in from the start of today's workout. He looked to have some zip on his throws, but he didn't have New York Jets linebacker Jonathan Vilma or anyone else chasing him out of the pocket at Owings Mills.

Safety Ed Reed, who missed Thursday's practice because of a reported ankle injury, was also back on the practice field. Among the missing were linebacker Ray Lewis, tackle Jonathan Ogden, cornerback David Pittman and tight end Daniel Wilcox. Among those, Lewis is probably the only one who will play against the Jets on Sunday.

We'll see what McNair will be listed as after practice today, but the way he was moving four days after injuring his groin during the Ravens' 27-20 loss to the Bengals in Cincinnati, you have to figure that he will start. That probably brings a sigh of relief to all you Kyle Boller bashers out there -- and you know who you are.
