Shortstop Miguel Tejada has been cleared for full baseball activities, which includes a minor league rehab assignment.

Tejada will report to Double-A Bowie tomorrow and play six innings at shortstop. He'll join Single-A Frederick on Thursday, and is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Friday for the Yankees series.

That's the good news.

Closer Chris Ray isn't available tonight after an MRI revealed a bone spur in his elbow. The Orioles aren't certain how long he's had it.

Ray will throw tomorrow before the club makes a decision on him. He could go on the disabled list.

Hayden Penn had a spur in his elbow and eventually needed surgery this year, but his arm was restricted because of it. That hasn't been the case with Ray. He's just dealing with the discomfort.

Here's the lineup:

Brian Roberts - 2B

Corey Patterson - CF

Nick Markakis - RF

Kevin Millar - 1B

Ramon Hernandez - C

Aubrey Huff - DH

Jay Payton - LF

Chris Gomez - 3B

Luis Hernandez - SS

Daniel Cabrera - P
