It's unlikey that the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Oscar De La Hoya fight saved boxing.  Frankly, I'm not sure that anything short of the miraculous returns of Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano and Muhammad Ali could save boxing.  But the big fight in Las Vegas sure made some folks rich.

It burst through the 2-million mark for pay-per-view buys and earned $120 million in revenues --  both records that eclipsed a couple of Mike Tyson bouts, one with Lennox Lewis and the other with Evander Holyfield.  If you weren't inclined to pay $54.95 for PPV last weekend, you can catch a replay on HBO Saturday at 10 p.m., including interviews with the fighters.  We won't tell you who won just in case you missed it and want to be surprised.
